The Decatur Economic Development Corporation (DEDC) offers a full range of economic development services to existing and prospective Decatur area primary employers. Services offered include location assistance, labor studies, training assistance and everything that comes between.
The DEDC adopted a strategic plan for the future growth of Decatur in December 2001 and will continue the aggressive implementation of that plan so, DON'T GAMBLE WITH YOUR COMPANY'S FUTURE….MAKE THE WISE DECISION…LOCATE IN DECATUR, TEXAS.
Supported by a half-cent economic development sales tax passed by Decatur citizens in 1993, the DEDC has supported the development of a number of projects during the past ten years and is currently in a public/private partnership on a new 400 acre, rail served industrial park.
The DEDC Board is comprised of President Tim Rieger, Mayor Joe Lambert, Martin Woodruff, Andrew Rottner, and Roy Eaton. Ex-Officio members include Decatur Chamber of Commerce President Andrew Sandford, DISD Superintendent Dr. Gary Gindt, Utility Representative Jerry Griffin and County Commissioner-Prec 1 Robert Rankin.
