Business of the Week - Goosehead Insurance, Jason Rottman
Jason was raised in Paradise, Texas, but resided in Farmington, New Mexico for most of his adult life. Since then, he has moved back home to be closer to his family. Before joining the Goosehead family, Jason was a successful real estate agent, small business owner, and top producer for State Farm.
Jason loves spending time with his family. He has a wife, one son who lives in Australia, a daughter who attends Texas Tech University, and another son who is still at home. In his spare time, Jason enjoys hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors.

How many years have you been in business?
Over 4 years. Opened Oct.2016.
What motivates you?
God blessed me with an internal drive. I have a need to get up every morning and accomplish something.
As someone doing business in Decatur/Wise County, how does the Chamber help you?
The Chamber allows me to meet and network with other business leaders in the community. Those contacts help me learn new things, develop friendships, and find opportunities.
What’s an interesting fact about your business most people don’t know?
I didn’t make up the name Goosehead. I purchased a franchise within a national company with this name.
Do you have any advice for new business owners?
Spend as little as possible. Work hard all day, then work some more. If you want it bad enough you will never quit.
When you’re not in Decatur/Wise County, how do you like to spend your time?
I love fishing Lake Bridgeport.
